The LAN/WAN technician will be responsible for problem resolution, hardware maintenance, project implementations, and overall O & S responsibilities associated with maintaining an ATM and Ethernet network from a layer 2 and 3 perspective. The LAN/WAN technician will be responsible for working problem reports, assessing engineering orders, and implementing assigned engineering orders.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

The LAN/WAN technician will be responsible for problem resolution, hardware maintenance, project implementations, and overall O & S responsibilities associated with maintaining an ATM and Ethernet network from a layer 2 and 3 perspective.The LAN/WAN technician will be responsible for working problem reports, assessing engineering orders, and implementing assigned engineering orders. The LAN/WAN technician will be required to work some weekends and holidays.

Education, Skill, and Experience Requirements:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree (preferably in Engineering or Computer Science) and 3-6 years of relevant work experience or equivalent related experience. Must have excellent interpersonal skills; be able to handle multiple tasking. The candidate must be able to work in a matrixed organizational structure. Should have technical experience in order to effectively speak to technical and design issues where required.
Should have experience of routing technologies to include OSPF.
